THE BEGINNING...

My passion for creating Restore Hope for the Valley started with collecting food from people in my community in the Spring of 2020. When the world shut down and there was so much need, my husband + I offered to pickup food from driveways and take it to a local food bank. That summer, our Neighborhood Group (a small group that gathers in my home to talk about the weekend messages at church), suggested we have a Food Drive to support a local nonprofit, the Phoenix Rescue Mission. With many hands, we were able to be more intentional in promoting it, work together to collect food and man a table at the entrance of our subdivision, and the community came together! It was relatively simple to put on, and so we decided to host a Toy Drive that Fall to serve kids in need for Christmas. We now host an annual Hope Drive for the Valley that spans across the Valley into a dozen communities, several businesses, and a couple different churches, schools and organizations. Each event grows, and so does the desire in my heart to make an impact in our city and to transform not just lives, but generations to come.
